Working Time Directive compliance eased in time 05/04/2007

manufacturing business systems Manufacturers concerned about having to maintain more detailed employee records to comply with the European Working Time Directive could talk to Mark Information.

The company’s UK managing director Paul Doherty says that the ProMark time and attendance system, now at release 2.90, incorporates features specifically designed to enable compliance.

The improvements follow input from customers, and include an ability to produce up-to-date reports in real-time on demand.

“As is the case with a lot of new legislation, many companies are not fully aware of what they need to do to comply, and often only realise they need to do something when there are prosecutions.

“If businesses don’t comply now they can be fined and the directors can be put in prison. With ProMark 2.90, they can meet the requirements of the directive now and not have to worry.”
