QuadTech to integrate global operations with IFS ERP system 24/07/2006

Press and finishing controls technology developer QuadTech is to implement IFS Applications 7 ERP software on IBM/AIX at its headquarters in Sussex, Wisconsin USA and eventually at its sites across Europe, Japan, China and Singapore.

“We were looking for a solution to streamline and integrate world-wide operations, provide real-time data for business decisions, increase efficiency and achieve our company’s long-range vision,” says Steve Jaeger, Quad/Graphics’ CIO. “We selected IFS because we felt it offered a cost-effective global product with local support.”

The system will replace legacy systems and QuadTech expects it to improve efficiency and profitability by giving employees, customers and suppliers access to real-time business data.

The company will use IFS’ process modelling system to improve business process control, with the eventual system making it easier for QuadTech to use multiple order processing methods and multiple to-order production environments to meet customer demand as flexibly as possible.
