IFS has extended its document management solution "to help customers improve the efficiency of capturing and managing project and enterprise information". IFS CEO Alastair Sorbie says the solution was developed in consultation with a number of IFS users, and that its extensions improve document navigation and visualisation, enhance document security and control, as well as providing integration with Microsoft Office.
By ensuring that customer, supplier and contractor documents are retained within a central ERP system, organisations, he says, can increase data visibility and improve employee productivity by reducing the time it takes to "access the right document for the right workflow at the right time".
PMC Servi, which manufactures hydraulic systems, is one of the first to go live with the extension, and Torgeir Lindtveit, MA manager says: "We now have greater documentation visibility across the organisation, which means our staff can quickly retrieve the latest, most up-to-date records and respond more readily when customers and suppliers need them to."
