Siemens in £5 million simulation deal 18/09/2003

Simulation software developer Ansys has singed what’s expected to be a $5m deal over three years with Siemens, which will get more than 200 seats to assist with new product development.

Ansys has been providing Siemens with CAE systems for 20 years – both core simulation and virtual prototyping – but this is a considerable extension.

Says Gerhard Muller, Siemens IT manager: ““Incorporating the Ansys product family with the CAD systems we are using has allowed us to maximise our design processes while containing design costs.”
