Lotus Racing chooses eBECS to manage 2010 F1 season

Lotus Racing says it has gone for eBECS to deliver a flexible software solution to help keep it ahead of the game. The Microsoft Business Solutions partner will provide a system based on Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Bill Peters, head of IT at Lotus Racing, says that the team chose eBECS because of its experience in the industry and its ability to implement demanding Microsoft-based solutions in short time frames.
"We came to the grid with a lot to do in a short time frame," says Peters. "We needed an entirely new solution that would assist in our aim of being ahead of the new teams when we all reach Bahrain, and also to support our objective of being close to the midfield teams after the first few races of the season."
For him, eBECS reputation in the automotive industry and the fact that "they took the time to listen carefully to our needs and then proposed a solution that really worked for us", were critical factors.
