A new knowledge management solution will enable manufacturers "to systematically and actively manage and leverage the stores of knowledge in their organisation", according to developer MindTree. MindTree vice president and head of its manufacturing industry group, R Radha, says that the companys new offering will help manufacturers to systematically collect, manage and execute "the numerous ideas and suggestions of its workforce, resulting in innovative solutions, higher productivity, and faster response and delivery times".
He explains the rationale: "In the face of increasing competition and compliance requirements, manufacturers need to improve business processes to increase operational efficiencies, meet customer demands and manage products globally."
Radha reckons the firm's KM system will help by enabling "the collective expertise and insight of the workforce to be captured and adopted".
The end result, he says, is increased intellectual capital that delivers a competitive advantage.
