Somerset-based cheese and butter manufacturer Wyke Farms has signed a deal with Aspera Solutions for a 25-user Ross ERP system. Paul Hardwick, finance director at Wyke Farms, explains that his organisation has grown from a traditional cheese-maker to a major national brand with a streamlined 21st century production process.
The new ERP system, he says, will be implemented at its Bruton and Wincanton sites and will be live in early 2010. It will then manage all of production, storage, packing, distribution and administration, as well as underpinning management visibility for growth.
"We reviewed a number of systems before selecting Ross ERP from Aspera. Ross is widely used in the food industry and has the required features. Aspera Solutions' experience in the food industry, particularly the dairy sector, gave us the confidence that this is the best solution for Wyke Farms."
