Medlers builds better business information with new ERP

Brick and block specialist J Medler says its new ERP system is improving efficiency in its distribution operations and providing management with better reports. Chris Grigg, Medlers company accountant explains that the implementation of Solarsoft's xVP ERP system has helped to modernise its IT infrastructure, moving the business from an outdated bespoke IT system to a Windows environment that is easier to use and maintain.
He says the system is also helping to transform the company's warehouse management, stock control and financial management.
"We chose Solarsoft's product as it is easy to implement, it is cost-effective and the system is very user-friendly," says Grigg.
"We wanted to be up and running on the new system quickly, and with Solarsoft we were live within three months. Solarsoft gives us better stock control and management reporting information, which means we always have a real-time picture of our business performance – something we didn't have before."
