High-performance medical plastics manufacturer Orthoplastics says it has gone live a month ahead of schedule and under budget with a Syspro ERP system from K3. The system replaces the Lancashire-based company's legacy, in-house developed DOS system and associated spreadsheets. Orthoplastics says it is now gaining full visibility of business data that's both accurate and centralised, and, as a result, boosting its delivery performance.
Syspro modules provided cover system administration, finance, distribution and manufacturing, together providing for visibility of order and production progress, and making it easier for Orthoplastics to meet contractual delivery agreements.
Key underlying improvements identified include real-time scheduling, once-only data entry and unified information analysis and reporting, as well as management by exception.
