Airbus buys site license for Samcef developed FEA software 03/03/2009

manufacturing business software Airbus has purchased site licenses for Samcef-edited multipurpose FEA software, for airframe structural analysis across all of its sites throughout Europe.

The solution will be used for linear static, linear buckling and non-linear metallic and composite structural analysis.

Airbus, which has been working with Samcef since 1986, says its decision follows the recent deployment of ISAMI Analyst, the stress analysis CAE environment at the heart of the new global Airbus design and engineering strategy.

Says Samtech CEO Eric Carnoy: “The recent developments come as a great reward to our ambitions: facing extreme challenges, working hard, meeting tight deadlines, completing ambitious projects.”

Back in 2006, Airbus challenged Samtech to design a CAE platform able to integrate all its harmonised tools and methods – which cam to fruition in CAESAM and ISAMI, now being deployed.
