Pay monthly cloud computing comes to the Midlands 24/02/2009

manufacturing business software A new Birmingham-based data centre if offering cloud computing and disaster recovery services to the Midlands on a pay per use basis.

ADA Technology Services – which provides hosting and IT infrastructure managed services – says it’s about allowing manufacturers to grow their IT while minimising capital outlay, by using a virtualised environment and software as a service (SaaS).

Says ADA CEO David Rabson: “Our new purpose-built data centre further extends our hosted IT infrastructure and disaster recovery services, based on a strategy of national coverage with local accessibility. Our highly flexible payment model and fresh approach to utility computing and disaster recovery, is driving our continued expansion in a challenging market.”

Since opening its first Birmingham office in 2003, ADA has grown its Midlands operation around a core range of scaleable project and IT managed services. Rabson says the new data centre allows ADA’s clients to access their data quickly if there is ever a need to invoke the disaster recovery process.
