Adam Continuity and the chocolate factory 06/02/2009

Kinnerton Confectionery, which manufactures chocolate and novelty confectionery for M&S, Tesco and Asda, says it is now protecting itself against disaster with Adam Continuity.

Adam, which provides business continuity, data resilience and disaster recovery services, is now contracted to truck in computer hardware and assist in the set-up of Kinnerton’s systems exactly as they were before any disaster event.

Both companies say they intend to run regular rehearsals to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Kinnerton head of IT Matthew Davies concedes that disaster recovery is not the most glamorous part of IT, but adds that it’s like insurance. “It is good to be in partnership with a company that wants to know how we work and what are our unique needs.”
