Managing staff absence is critical to ensuring a productive Christmas and New Year period, says workforce management software provider Auto Time Solutions – which is now offering a 30-day free trial of its software.
“At Christmas time, the number of people absent from work increases dramatically. While managers may turn a blind-eye to the issue, the reality is it can have a serious knock-on effect, especially during the economic downturn,” says Christian Berenger, business development director at Auto Time Solutions.
“It’s easy at such a busy time of year for unauthorised absences to go unnoticed, but with an electronic system to manage time and attendance, manager’s can at least have the data to make informed decisions,” he adds.
He advises that managers can also gain a greater insight into absences and use historical data to highlight trends and patterns, helping them to resolve problems with under- and over-staffing.
