ERP LX majors on GAMP process improvements 27/10/2008

Infor’s latest release of its LX (formerly BPCS) ERP system for process and mixed mode manufacturers takes in enhancements said to modernise regulatory compliance and improve usability, while also providing additional functionality.

For example, Feature Pack 3 now supports multiple languages in a single instance database, allowing users from around the world to enter localised data into a centralised database and to use the data in documents written in other languages – meaning a significant opportunity for consolidation.

As for compliance, it’s all about Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), as in the US Food & Drug Administration and the European Food Safety Authority. So there is expanded electronic signature support for GMP programmes, such as inventory transfer, receipt of inventory and shop order allocations, as well as writing electronic records to external media and printing audit trails.

Says Kari Miller, senior director of product management at Infor: “Infor ERP LX Feature Pack 3 is fully compatible with IBM i 6.1 and delivers exceptional value to our large community of IBM System i-based customers.”
