Wire manufacturer Penistone Reinforcements says it has signed up for IMS’ ERP system, Uniplan, to improve profitability and efficiency.
Barbara Lomas, Penistone Reinforcement’s financial director, explains that, following a period of rapid growth, the firm realised it needed an integrated software package to control all aspects of the business, from processes and stock levels, to accounts, and provide the information it needs.
“After assessing a number of products, IMS’ knowledge of and experience in the manufacturing sector set them apart from the competition,” she says.
“We had quite specific requirements, which the firm addressed at the demonstration stage, showing a willingness and an ability to create a bespoke system that meets our needs.”
IMS is currently undergoing implementation of Uniplan, and the system is expected to go live early in the new year.
