IBM opens cash offer for Ilog supply chain technologies 15/10/2008

Following last July’s announcement that IBM was eyeing up business modelling software firm Ilog, Big Blue has now opened its cash offer at eur 10 per share in the US and France.

The deal will close on 17 November and, with the blessing of Ilog’s board and major shareholders, is expected to go through quickly.

IBM says Ilog’s technologies will add to its business process management software portfolio, bolstering its existing rules management offerings, and extending IBM into new markets involving, optimisation, visualisation, and supply chain management.
