Brazilian manufacturer goes for growth with Infor ERP Visual 29/08/2008

Brazilian metal components manufacturer Indústria Cofaz says it expects to improve operations and profit when it goes live with an Infor ERP visual system.

Roberto Lino de Oliveira, president of Cofaz, says that the system will establish a unified view of its operations across all lines of business, helping the company to monitor manufacturing processes, enhance production capacity and improve inventory management.

He believes that increased business transparency can also improve resource allocation and plant utilisation, as well as leading to greater overall operating efficiency.

“In order for our company’s operations to keep pace with our growth, we had to implement a series of changes in how we ran our business, starting with a new ERP solution,” explains de Oliveira.

“With Infor ERP Visual, we will gain greater control over our manufacturing processes, as well as enhanced visibility into inventory levels and production and delivery status. We anticipate that these new capabilities will lead to enhanced quality levels, heightened customer service and other operational benefits,” he adds.

The solution will replace legacy spreadsheet systems and is being implemented through Axsis, an Infor channel partner in Brazil.
