Sanderson ends Valley’s five-year search for ERP 09/05/2008

Point of purchase displays manufacturer Valley reckons it has been improving management decision-making and reducing costs, since going live with a Sanderson Unity ERP system.

The company, which supplies blue chips including Sony, Sky, Disney, Bosch and Bentley, says it had been seeking a solution for over five years to replace a bunch of bespoke system and Sage ledgers.

Says Jonathan Haggas, commercial director at Valley: “We were looking for a system that manages both print and manufacturing, and a long-term IT partner that will add value to our business. Sanderson does both well, which, together with their experience in our market, made them the obvious choice.”

He says the previous separate systems had limited business visibility and responsiveness, whereas now, the integrated ERP ensures complete enterprise-wide visibility.

Haggas cites benefits as being able to ensure that customer estimates are accurate and consistent, while also responding faster to customer requirements. He claims the new system will help increase profitability by improving cost control throughout the business and allowing better margin calculation at the point of sale.
