Petra Engineering puts on the heat with Epicor

Jordan-based HVAC equipment designer and manufacturer Petra Engineering Industries has selected Epicor’s ERP solution to run its business operations globally.
The organisation says it chose Epicor for the system’s fit, in terms of its manufacturing operations. Production manager Omar Ali says that it will enable the firm to reduce costs, while increasing efficiency and helping Petra to drive growth and improve resource utilisation.
Says Ali: “Petra is a fast growing company with operations in 40 countries across the globe and a regional base that is growing significantly… We required a scalable solution that will work in tandem with our business growth, and Epicor’s manufacturing solution is ideally suited to our needs.”
Epicor says that it has been focusing considerable attention on the Middle East, where it believes that its coverage of mixed-mode manufacturing will serve it well.
Jim Bork, senior vice president of global operations for Epicor, says that the system runs out of the box, with built-in workflow that enables manufacturers to manage the entire order cycle – from marketing and sales through production and planning, sourcing and procurement to installation and service.
“We believe the Middle East offers Epicor a tremendous opportunity for growth, especially in the manufacturing sector,” he says. “Petra is an excellent addition to our portfolio … and this win reflects the increasing uptake of ERP solutions within the region as a whole.”
