Stock forecasting and production scheduling get together

Rotherham software specialist IMS has forged links with Surrey-based manufacturing systems developer DBO Services, to offer manufacturing companies stock control and scheduling software.
IMS is bringing together its Uplanit software with DBO’s RightStock, with both companies offering the two products as a complete package or individually.
RightStock uses historical information and market intelligence to forecast required stock quantities. It then generates a replenishment plan that can be passed onto Uplanit, which finds the most time- and cost-effective method for production to match supply and demand.
Says IMS sales director David Hurst: “Both software packages are proven to offer real benefits to users and they will work together perfectly to further increase their commercial capabilities.”
