Sanderson web portal helps Evenort improve customer service 06/12/2007

Sheffield-based stainless steel processor Evenort expects its new web portal module to improve customer service and cross-selling online.

The company specialises in bar processing, stainless steel and nickel alloy flanges, advanced machining and deep water shipments, and runs on Sanderson’s Unity manufacturing ERP system.

Evenort director Craig McKay, says that the company decided a website would be an effective platform to help cross-sell products, but only if it gave added value services that would bring customers back frequently.

So the new portal provides instant up-to-date information about orders – already available via its ERP system – online, now enabling customers to track orders and view despatch lists, order history and proof of delivery, as well as requesting copies of test certificates, invoices and statements.

“The web portal will further enhance the Evenort purchasing experience and, by encouraging frequent visits to our website, help us to improve customer awareness of our product range,” says McKay. “It will also reduce the volume of incoming calls to our sales staff, enabling them to dedicate greater time to sales activities.”
