Spiceworks., the free, advertising-supported IT management software, is now available through IDG with the latter’s Techworld Techworld RSS news feeds.

Spiceworks says its IT desktop is being used by more than 120,000 IT administrators in 185 countries – including some 30,000 in the UK.

The software, which is designed for SMEs with networks of up to 250 devices, allows users to automatically discover, track and report on the hardware and software running on their networks, while also having access to an integrated help desk and IT community.

Paul Briggs, publisher at Techworld says: “Our partnership with Spiceworks is a natural one because of the crossover between the Spiceworks user base and our users. Our audience will benefit from access to a free and powerful tool that will make management of their networks easier – while having direct access to Techworld news and information that’s relevant to them, all in the same application.”
