Load planning to help manufacturers improve customer service 19/09/2007

New load planning functionality, added to Syspro ERP software by developer K3, will improve manufacturers’ customer service, according to the company.

K3 says that it’s aimed at goods picking and loading, enabling sales to see when orders can be delivered.

K3 managing director Howard Joseph explains that allocating a route code allows a standard delivery method, distance and sequence to be assigned for each customer – and that a delivery frequency can also be associated with each route.

As each line is added to the order, the appropriate route detail is calculated according either to delivery date, or based on availability of stock and load capacity.

Says Joseph: “Customer service is a primary area of competition for manufacturers and distributors, and Syspro Load Planning can help them enhance customer satisfaction levels through improved on-time delivery.”
