Festool streamlines product development with CoCreate OneSpace

German hand-held tools designer and manufacturer Festool is deploying 100 seats of CoCreate OneSpace Model Manager to perfect its PLM (product lifecycle management) data management processes.
The company already uses CoCreate OneSpace Modelling and various other OneSpace Suite modules to design its products, and expects Model Manager to improve the orchestration of its 3D and manufacturing engineering processes.
Says Festool IT manager Hans Rittmann: “We appreciate how simple it is to learn and use OneSpace Modelling. Another huge advantage we see is that when we start a new design we don’t waste time wondering ‘How do I design this part.’
“Perfection in detail and the final geometry of a design are not achieved immediately, but must be developed. Therefore, it is important that everyone has total flexibility to create and change parts at any time. The history-free OneSpace Modeling software gives us this advantage.”
